Balakot is one town where you will find easy access to food, residence, and markets that cater to local products and handicrafts along with a scenic view of the Kunhar river that streams through the area. Though completely destroyed during the 2005 earthquake, the town rebuilt itself within a short span and has been an important part of the Mansehra District.
